Online check-in was made a day before to facilitate my onboarding process.
Arrived at the airport to pick up my board pass from the counters only to find that all the lanes for Etihad were merged together with no signage available to which lane is where and no distinguishing between business, online check-in, bag drop-off or economy and had to wait in queue as if online check-in is useless.
During boarding the flight, the economy passengers kept waiting for a long time with 4 or 5 employees standing at the gate without even allowing us to pass and grab a seat until the boarding process starts.
Business lane was empty and every now and then a passenger came to pass through it and the waiting was unexplained for a long time.
No signage was available to clear out which lane or queue is for what!
While attempting to pass through the empty lane, one of the employees approached me to mention that this is only business lane and economy have to keep standing in line waiting(at which I backed off from the lane), which was unexplained from his side upon asking, but he talked in a not good way and made fun of what I was saying without answering "Why were we standing for a long time without given the way to have a seat before boarding".
Frustrated from his way, I asked him not just to start saying things out of context and left him.
Upon boarding, his supervisor approached me only to defend his employee without paying attention to the way his employee was talking to me or giving answers to how things were going.
Was hoping that as a supervisor or a team leader, he would be handling the situation in a right way and clarifying this instead of just defending his employee and threating me with getting security especially that no signage was available, and the default process was not as anticipated as it should be any other airport.
