The two officials turned their badges around and would not give me their names. I followed up with a manager who would also not give me their names. I had my liquids in a TSA approved travel case. I was told i needed to put in the airport plastic bag. When the airport bag would not shut asked to retrieve my purse, coat and belongings that already went through the scanner and they refused to give it back. All of my money, passport and computer was there. I asked several times and to have my stuff back so i could go check my luggage. And they keep telling me I couldn’t have it. When I finally became visibly upset and asked for everyone’s name they Al turned their badges around but finally gave me my stuff so I could leave the area and go check my bag. The big tall gentleman with the beard yelled at me that I was being “weird”. When I came back, the woman who was especially rude was put on leave. But the gentleman who refused to give me back my belongings agd yelled at me that I was weird was still there. They, then, of course, pulled all of my stuff off the conveyor and searched it thoroughly. I was harassed. The manager I asked for would also not give me any information. It was terminal 2 fast track lane between 6am-7am. I travel the world. My home airport is Newark Airport, USA with the reputation for having the rudest TSA workers on the planet and I have never ever experienced such unacceptable treatment before.
Hey Dawn, so sorry about the terrible treatment you received at Heathrow. Typically its Manchester Airport where fliers are abused and degraded. Particularly concerning that none of them would give you their names.
