When I got to security check I put my laptop in the same tray as a small backbag which caused the issue. The guy who was working there was named idrees I read it of his badge, he was very very slow I understand that this is his job and he has to do it properly but also, there was only him doing this while there were a queue of people waiting for their bags to get checked. When it was my turn he checked the laptop and then told me it should have been in a separate tray which he did then and sent it again for security check but the problem when my laptop came back all he needed to do is pass it back to me so I can go instead he decided to check somebody else's bag and kindly I asked him if he can pass me the laptop so I can go, he replied 1 minutes which took 5 minutes. I asked him again and he said wait I told him please I need to go tge gate will close in 10 minutes jusg pass me back the laptop it will take you literally 5 seconds, he just carried on with the other guy very slowly like no one is waiting for anything. When he finally finished with the other customer he started chatting to his colleague which annoyed me as he made me wait and waste my time and he carried on talking then passed the laptop. The whole procedure could have taken 5 seconds if he just past it to me as its already been through security twice. Because I wasted more than it should be the gate was closed. Missed my flight and had to pay for an other one and my children were very upset they cried so much because of this I also had to pay for my transport back to my city which was really too much for a single mum to handle. Instead we could have been in a better place if he was just a little bit more helpful.
Hey Hajar, I am so sorry to hear about what Idrees who works at Manchester Airport (MAN) did to you. This is terrible. If what you're saying is true this guy deserves to be fired.
