Manchester Airport Abuse Report

My 10 year old son is autistic and was going through security when the machine beeped. I was told he needed to be searched. I am fine with this however, a 10 year old, autistic child does not understand. He was screaming and head butting me as he did not understand. I asked if I could get him his mobile device so the guard could search him. He shouted no, again causing more stress. I am also autistic and the experience qaa upsetting. People were staring and making us feel uncomfortable. I advised the guard twice of Rileys autism and he was wearing his lanyard. I understand searching is imperative and I don't have a problem with that. My issue is that this treatment caused a meltdown and this then continued onto the flight, making the whole experience horrible
