Suvarnabhumi Airport Abuse Report

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unprofessional behavior, verbal abuse, and hostile conduct of a Thai immigration officer towards my father and me.
Incident Details:
• Date of Incident: November 1, 2026
• Location: Immigration at Suvhanni Airport
• Counter / Desk Number: The first immigration area needed to enter the restaurants like Burger King and KFC
Description of Events:
While passing through the immigration checkpoint, I experienced difficulty removing my passport cover to scan the document. Because I am 12 years old, I naturally handed the passport to my father so he could help me take the cover off.
Upon seeing this, the immigration officer became extremely hostile and began screaming at us in English. He loudly stated to my father, "This is not a daycare," in an aggressive and demeaning manner. Following this, the officer continued to shout at us using aggressive and insulting Thai phrases. The officer's erratic and angry behavior was entirely unprovoked and caused noticeable distress to us, drawing concerned and upset looks from the other tourists waiting in the queue behind us.
As travelers visiting Thailand, we expect to be treated with basic respect and professionalism, especially by border officials who represent the country. The officer's decision to scream at a child and verbally berate a parent over a simple passport cover delay is completely unacceptable and breaches professional conduct standards.
I kindly request that this incident be investigated, that the officer in question be reprimanded, and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure travelers are treated with courtesy.
