When i airrived to Dubai on Aug 8 2023 i asked an airport employee if a flight at 2:00 meant it was AM or PM and i was told it was PM. On Aug 16 2023I got to the airport at 11:30 PM to departure for my flight at 2 to Toronto from Dubai. I went to the Terminal 3 check in counter and the employee at the counter told me my ticket did not show up in the system because I was in the wrong Terminal. He did not tell me I missed my flight he told me to go to Terminal 1 via Taxi or the Metro. I asked him jf he can call someone to make sure of the Terminak before i get in a Taxi and he said he cant do anything. I paid for a Taxi to Terminal and there employees told me I need to be in Terminal 3. They told me the fastest way to Terminal 3 is to walk outside in the heat from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 so I walked in the Dubai heat with 2 pieces of luggage to Termi al 3. When I got to the check in counter the same employee took me to two other employees at the check in desks and upon further Investigation they told me my flight was actually at 2AM and not 2PM. I was misguided by Dubai airport employees and was inconvenienced to go back and forth between two terminals, walk in the heat and recieved rude attitudes from employees i seeked for help. One employee i do not know the name of seemed to be holding back laughter while I was telling his colleague about my issues and I confronted him and asked if he found my situation funny. I repeatedly asked for anyone that can help me but they said since I am Canadian and going on Air Canada that I vant recieve help until 9:30 PM when Air Canada employees arrive to work. I was not offered reimbursement for any of the taxis I had to take because the airport employees misguided me to the wrong Terminal or recieved any compassion or help. I could not contact my travel agent who booked my ticket since she is in Canada and the time difference means it was 2:00 AM in Canada at the time. I am frustrated that I had to try so hard to seek any help or guidance and was constantly met with employees with smug attitudes. I asked for a Manager of Dubai Airport and no one was able to lead me to one. I loved Dubai but my experience in the airport is enough to make me not want to come again. I understand I missed my flight but the treatment I recieved was stressful, upsetting, and disrespectful.
