I FLEW for 10 years for American so I am well traveled both before and since. The airport is VERY poorly marked where to go. Neither my friend nor I understood the signs and pretty much followed others. Then they were handing out plastic bags but I have liquids (as well as some other cosmetics) in a see through case which has always been just fine. Nope, not here. I was ORDERED to take out the liquids. I observed the tall young man (he didn't want to tell me his name. Maybe Bill? or Phil?) and a young woman who were making fun of passengers. I told them I saw what they were doing. He lied and said 'you don't know what we were talking about!' (oh yes, I do know what they were doing, disrespecting passengers). Then he decided to 'further observe' my toiletries and asked me what one container contained. I said 'hand cream' but he said 'they say it's hydrochloric acid' (or some other ridiculous ingredient. I said 'if you're so worried, throw it away!' Which he DID. The airport looks like it did MANY years ago when I was there ex for, of course, the duty free area. The young man and young woman should be observed and if they have the same disrespectful attitude, they should be fired. Airline travel is very stressful now and this was an unnecessary experience and unusual behavior by 'security.' Bill or Phil was very tall.
