Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) Abuse Report

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an extremely serious incident that took place on March 2, 2025, at approximately 6:00 AM in the inter-terminal train connecting Terminals 2E, 2F, and 2H at Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Physical and Verbal Assault in the Inter-Terminal Train

While in transit after a flight from Montreal (Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport), I was heading to Terminal 2F for a connecting flight to Rome. I boarded the inter-terminal train at around 6:00-6:10 AM, which was extremely crowded. In an effort to avoid missing my flight, I had to maneuver my way through the passengers.

Once inside the train, I was violently assaulted by two Quebecois men who appeared to be in their sixties. Both had blue eyes, gray hair, and were dressed in black. One of them, the individual who repeatedly kneed me in my intimate areas, was wearing glasses and a long black coat.

The details of the incident are as follows:
• These two individuals forcefully pushed me.
• One of them, standing behind me, repeatedly kneed me in my intimate areas.
• When I protested, they escalated their aggression, pushing me even more violently and verbally assaulting me in front of all the passengers.
• The insults hurled at me were extremely violent, blending misogyny and racism:
• “Tamoul, go back to your country.”
• “Get out of here, slut, fat whore, stupid bitch.”
• “Asti, go back to your country.”
• At every train stop, they attempted to push me out of the carriage while yelling ‘go back to your country’.

This horrifying incident unfolded in front of all the passengers, with no intervention from anyone. I was not only physically and verbally assaulted, but also publicly humiliated in what should have been a safe environment. Being Quebecois myself, but of Arab origin, the humiliation was even more profound.

I formally request that an investigation be conducted to identify these individuals, notably by reviewing the CCTV footage from the train and platforms. I also wish to obtain their identities so I can pursue legal action with the competent authorities.

Negligence and Lack of Assistance from Airport Staff

Following this brutal assault, I was overcome with extreme distress. I cried non-stop until I reached customs and my boarding gate for Rome. I even cried throughout the flight from Paris CDG to Rome. Several members of your staff witnessed my distress.

When I arrived at customs, my state of panic was obvious:
• Air France employees saw me in tears, visibly distressed, yet none of them spoke to me or asked if I was okay. I was having a full-blown anxiety attack.
• Even worse, I overheard some female airport employees mocking me, laughing, and saying out loud, “Look at her, she’s crying, look how she’s crying.” This behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful and inhumane.

Furthermore, when my luggage was subject to additional screening at customs, I observed another form of negligence and discrimination:
• All other passengers were served before me, even though my luggage was already waiting.
• When I asked why others were being prioritized, I was told that was not the case, even though I could clearly see that agents were taking luggage that had arrived after mine and processing it before mine.

This series of negligence and blatant disregard exacerbated my distress and made my experience at Charles de Gaulle Airport deeply traumatic.

Requests and Expectations

I am formally requesting:
1. An investigation into the assault I suffered in the inter-terminal train and the identification of the two individuals involved via CCTV footage.
2. An explanation regarding the behavior of airport staff and what measures will be taken to ensure that such a lack of professionalism and humanity does not happen again.
3. An official response outlining what actions you intend to take regarding this matter.

This incident has deeply affected my sense of safety and dignity as a traveler. I expect you to take full responsibility for the gravity of this situation.

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
