I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred at Charles de Gaulle Airport on 30 September 2025, at approximately 17:00, in the passport control area of Terminal 2F.
During passport control, a police officer noticed a folded “Zusatzblatt” (supplementary sheet) in my passport. The officer mistakenly identified it as a residence permit and informed me that it was not allowed to fold it inside my passport. When I attempted to clarify that it was not a residence permit, the officer interrupted me, told me to “shut up,” and insisted that I simply accept his statement.
The officer’s behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and intimidating. I also felt that his conduct was dismissive and potentially discriminatory.
For your reference, the details are as follows:
Date and time of incident: 30 September 2025, around 17:00
Location: Passport control, Charles de Gaulle Airport, Terminal 2F
Description of the officer: White, bald male
Witnesses: A second officer observed the incident, approached his colleague’s cabin, and calmly asked him to stop
I respectfully request that this complaint be taken seriously and thoroughly investigated, to ensure that public officials treat travelers with respect and professionalism. I am available to provide further information if required.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
