Charles de Gaulle International Airport Abuse Report

Immigration/customs to get out of the airport was horrendous. The lines were incredibly long. I've been to many airports and this by far was the absolute worst and longest. There were multiple lines but leading to what looked like only a handful of desks. We were forced in the family line because I had 2 kids w/me and that line barely moved. An hour standing, we were all starting to sit on the ground, kids crying, parents changing diapers in line. It was extremely inefficient. The line w/no kids seemed to move a tad faster although everything was just slow in general. For a popular airport and not a third world country, you need a more efficient process. We had an 8 hr layover so we wanted to get out of the airport. But after waiting in a line for 2 hrs with barely any movement, we decided to just stay in the airport. It was awful. An automated message kept saying that it would take longer than usual but wow, that is forever just to exit. There were many employees everyone trying to dictate the traffic but it didn't matter because if the traffic is being held up with the few people doing the passport checks, the wait would be long no matter what.
