Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) Abuse Report

The fact that one of the largest, wealthiest, and most trafficked airports in Europe doesn’t offer reclining seating in their special assistance areas is not just a logistical failure, it’s a basic failure of care and accessibility.

It’s not about luxury — it’s about comfort, safety, and dignity, especially for people recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic conditions, or with mobility issues. Reclining chairs are standard in hospitals and even smaller clinics precisely because they reduce strain on the body and help people manage pain. That should absolutely extend to airports.

The worst part is that smaller airports like Linate get it right with fewer resources. So this is clearly not about money or space — it’s about priority. And big hubs like CDG or Gatwick have no excuse
