I was traveling from Nepal to United state with my family with kids and my transit was in IGA. We were escorted to the international connection room and told to wait until the boarding starts. The boarding started at local 7 pm and our flight was at 9:25pm. We were in line and ahead of us were another 20 travelers from same flight. As we were patiently waiting on line it took little over three hours for us to be checked in and get the boarding pass. Now they even messed up our seating arrangements where all 5 of us who previously seating together are now seating apart. Let me remind you, two of them were toddlers. As soon as boarding done the staff from emirate started yelling at us saying you are going to miss your flight you are already late to board the plane. We told him this is not our fault when the check in process for 20 travelers takes more than 3 hours. They told us to run and pick up our toddlers with us. As we got to the plane people were still boarding and the flight didn’t take off for another half an hour. So bottom line our chief complaint is how can you leave only one rookie to check in international travelers who takes at least 10minutes to check in each person. IGA gave us mental torchure and test our patients and looks like the staff acts as if this is normal process in India. Each and every one of us who travelled in that flight from Nepal deserve official apology letter from the authorities above. Once travel from this airport will cause people nightmare to recommend or travel again. We were in the best time of our life and this soon we’re turned into night mare due to this airport. Shame on you and your staff.
